Description
My first Eid that finally makes more sense than ever.
Unfortunately the price for it was so unbearable.
Eid was supposed to be THE celebration of the year. But for me and my family,
it marks the 2 months of the funeral of my late father, since last 21st August.
The sorrow was something i had not expected, for i've always had disagreement with him.
He gave up his breath in his hospital bed, unconscious, right before my eyes. It hurt so badly then, when i realize i had so much to regret for. I didn't make it to ask for either his forgiveness or blessings. And for the first time in my life, i know i love him so, as it was already too late. Although he was seemingly smiling to his grave, i find it traumatic to witness death face to face.
I had nothing to accompany me with this Eid, other than memories of guilt to him.
I had to let this out, but still, nothing seems to feel right. So please excuse whatever
awkward features in this image, especially the guitar.
As i pay visit to his grave this Eid morning, I pray that God loves him even more.
May he be forgiven of his sins, and placed with the rest of the faithful ones. Amin.
I renamed the title since i remembered listening that My Chemical Romance's song of the
same title, on loop, and on full headphone volume so that my heart ache real bad when i draw this.
Just so that i would never forget what all this had made me.
